Kerberos development libraries will allow you to Kerberos enable, or kerberize, any application. There are two primary libraries, a general usage Kerberos library used for basic authentication and a Kerberos administration library used to perform administrative functions such as operations on principals. In Fedora derived GNU/Linux, the rpm krb5-devel
contains the development libraries and documentation. An API specification for these libraries can be found in the Kerberos documentation included with most Kerberos distributions. In Fedora derived GNU/Linux, it installs in: /usr/share/doc/krb5-devel-1.2.2/api
The documentation is in the LaTeX format. In order to view it you must generate dvi filenames from it which can then be viewed with xdiv. This can all be done with the following commands:
bash$ cd /usr/share/doc/krb5-devel-x.x.x/api/ bash$ su bash# make bash# (^d) bash$ xdvi library.dvi
